Rental & Tour Policies:

BIKE RENTALS: Customers are responsible for any damages to our rental bikes. Please review the condition of the bikes you are renting and note any cosmetic damages prior to departing our shop. 


SIDECAR RENTALS: Customers are responsible for any damages to our rental bikes and sidecars and will be required to sign a supplemental damage liability waiver prior to leaving our shop. While approximately 95 percent of our customers that have never ridden a bike and sidecar with their dog(s) have a good time with no issues, we do have some riders and dogs that just don't seem to enjoy the experience. If a customer immediately returns due to their dog not being suited for the experience or the rider being uncomfortable navigating a bike and sidecar, the customer will be charged for one hour (based on our current rates) and the remainder of what has been paid towards their rental or guided tour will be refunded back in the form of a STORE CREDIT. Our staff spends significant time getting riders and their dogs set up and strapped in safely for their ride and as such we will expect compensation for this allotted time by charging our minimum rate for one hour (this also covers holding a reservation that someone else could have booked). NOTE: If your dog is super hyper, fearful of new experiences, or doesn't like riding in a moving vehicle, then we do not recommend this experience. If your dog acts anxious after you depart, please pull over when you get down to the beach and let your dog out to go potty and run around, after this they usually settle down and end up enjoying the ride. Always let your dog out of the sidecar for a bathroom break if you plan to ride for more than an hour. The stress of a new experience may make them have to go even when you think they are fine. ***Dogs must have a body harness to securely strap them in the sidecars- a harness with a front (chest) and rear (back) hook to attach a leash to. 


RENTAL AND TOUR REFUND: We will gladly refund any rental that is cancelled in writing at least 7 days in advance of the reservation. For reservations that are cancelled within 7 days of the reservation, a store credit will be issued. We will not issue any refund or store credit for customers that don't show up or that call us to cancel after their reservation has started or on the day of the reservation. There is no refund on discounted rentals booked online or through third-party booking platforms. 

We reserve the right to cancel any reservation due to poor weather or if we believe the rider is incapable of riding safely. If we cancel the reservation due to weather a full refund will be offered. If we cancel due to rider safety concerns a store credit will be issued. It is assumed that anyone renting a bike or booking a guided tour is proficient at riding and balancing a bike. If you have not ridden a bike in a long time or have issues balancing, a rental or tour experience is not recommended. 

Customers are responsible for paying for any bikes not returned, as well as any outstanding rental fees accumulated after the original booking (minus any discounts) should the bikes not be returned on time. The card on file will be charged for the full retail value of the bikes if they are not returned within 48 hours of the end of the reservation. Rental fees will continue to accumulate until bikes are returned or paid for. We offer complimentary locks which should be used to lock bikes up to keep them from getting stolen.

Did You Fall in Love?

If you rent a bike and decide that you can’t live without it, we’ll gladly put your rental fee towards the purchase of a new bike. Take home a new bicycle within 30 days of your bike rental and we’ll credit you up to one week’s worth of rental fees!
